SpringBoard West Innovations Inc. (SBWI) is a non-profit organization established to help innovators transform an idea into a commercial reality and to help organizations access important new innovations.

Moving a new product or service into the market successfully can be very challenging.  SBWI helps deal with these challenges by working one on one with the innovator.   We use a proven client process model to accelerate the transformation of ideas into products. This model plays an important role in the product's successful entry into the market.

Most innovators are experts in their field but have limited business expertise. We help our innovator clients survive and grow through their start-up period by preparing them for their initial challenges. We get our clients ready to take full advantage of the expertise and services of potential funding sources, market researchers, patent experts, business analysts and more.  SBWI also offers educational seminars to entrepreneurs to assist them in building their capacity for business.

The highly skilled people that make up the SBWI team will assist you in meeting your business needs. In addition, SBWI's Board of Directors is made up of representatives from the business sector, University of Regina, Regina Regional Opportunities Commission (RROC) and the Province of Saskatchewan who gladly lend their skills and experiences to our clients.

The Regina office was created in 2007 through the efforts of the University of Regina, Regina Regional Economic Development Authority (RREDA) and the federal and provincial governments.  With assistance from the federal and provincial governments in 2009, SBWI expanded with a location in Saskatoon.

Currently, SpringBoard West Innovations is focusing on projects in the energy, environment, informatics, life and biomedical sciences sectors. However we will review any proposed technology innovations.
